We lost Payton Rose on February 10, 2016, at the age of 17. She was a smart, funny, beautiful person whose life was cut short by the effects of bullying, exacerbated by Persistent Post Concussion Syndrome and the continuing struggles of brain injury.
Payton had just told her father the day before she took her own life that she was being bullied at school. She loved life and she was loved, but in the end, bullying proved too much for her to handle on her own. She didn’t deserve to feel that way, and we hope to remember her by making sure others never feel so alone.
